DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age  
  • Have a minimum of 1 years of recent, verifiable experience  
  • Possess a valid DOT Medical Card 
  • Have no more than 2 moving violations and no more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 36 months  
  • Have no more than one major moving violation in the past 12 months  
  • Have no more than one preventable accident in the past 12 months  
  • Have no more than 5 current points on their MVR  
  • Pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and be entered into our DOT-certified random drug screen program  
  • Have no DUI, OWI, or DWI convictions in the past 7 years  
  • Have no record of a felony conviction in the past 7 years  
  • Have not failed or refused a DOT drug screen in the past 24 months

Application Process

  • Click apply now and complete the online driver application
  • Upload to the application or text or email a copy of your DOT medical card and copies of the front and the back of your driver’s license 
  • Once your application is complete you will be contacted by an Atlantic Logistics representative that will assist you in moving forward
  • Once you have completed all requirements to bring your file to DOT standards you will be set up for an interview with the carrier of your choice
  • Once you confirm the interview with the manager, please let us know so that we can keep moving your file forward

Application Process

  • When going to an interview, please dress appropriately.  Clean-shaven, and showered, as well as a clean shirt. Nothing fancy is needed, no suit and tie, just clean attire.  
  • Once you complete your interview you can start right away if you like  
  • You must notify Atlantic Logistics that you have decided to take the position so that we can set up your payroll and not put another driver into that position
  • Many clients will supply the shirts for your job, if not, then plan to have a few “golf /polo type” shirts ready for your job.

  • You will be paid on a weekly basis. You are responsible for getting your hours to your immediate supervisor. If we do not get your time, you cannot get a paycheck.   
  • Time goes into us each Monday, and you will receive your paystub via email on Thursdays. Your pay will be sent via direct deposit every Friday. We do no do advances on paychecks   
  • Last, if you leave your assignment, please call us so that we can follow up on final pay issues. You will not be issued a final paycheck until we have received a clearance from your supervisor that you have returned all issued equipment. (i.e. cell phones, pagers, Nextel phones, fuel cards, lumper checks, etc.).  
  • If you are not happy with the job you are on, notify us, we may have another position for you. 
  • Do not leave the assignment without letting your supervisor or Atlantic Logistic Management know that you are quitting
